Ah…Spider-man, this is so nostalgic. Reminded me a bit more of Ultraman/Metal Hero Series in the 80s. This is such a fun series to watch. Japan wanted to capitalize on the Marvel boom at that time that Toei actually made a deal with Marvel to release some of the super hero characters that they made. Spider-man was the first and Captain America was supposed to be the second one but it was just too much money to make that they ended making a sentai series called Battle Fever J which is based on Captain America. Its a five team member consisting of Miss America, Battle Japan, Battle France, Battle Cossack (Russia), and Battle Kenya. This is the third entry in the series where the first two where just labeled as Sentai Series and they added the Super Sentai(battle team) in this series to sound more like Superhero. Mighty Morphin Power Rangers in the US in 1993 was actually based on the release of Kyoryu Sentai Jurenja (恐竜戦隊ジュウレンジャー )or Dragon Squadron Zyuranger in Japan. I still prefer the original release in Japan than the US since they are more fun to watch and normally run up to 50 episodes.
